Hi, upgrade to 6.02 update 9, system now just stays as recoverable, clicking recover does nothing.
Tried a force re-install fom jun 1.01 loader to no luck.
Any ideas how I can go back to update 8?
I've a gen8 baremetal installation.

Thanks brantje for the info. Unfortunately for me I didn't have SSH originally enabled. I'm luckily back now(sort of), the only thing I seem to have lost are all my custom settings.
Here's what I did:
DSM6 chose fresh install - let this complete.
Once installed setup server with same name and user
Enabled SSH
Followed your steps for changing version file - the steps past this unfortunately did not work for me so I did the following:
Within DSM update and Restore I then chose the original pat file and installed this - worked fine
after above completed installed update 5 pat file
All good from now, all files intact, just need to make my customized changed now
Thanks again for pointing us in the right direction I feel relieved that the files are all still in place.

1 question - in the DSM system info it shows my processor as a i3 whereas I have a celeron - any ideas or is this known?

Hi,
n00b question here. Just awaiting delivery of my hardware. Question - I've read somewhere on this forum that if you install xpenology straight to disk then the fans on the microserver will default to a certain spin speed as the ILO drivers aren't installed. So my question is - what's best ESXI installation or straight to disk?
Trying to decide if I need to buy SSD or not, going to be using WD Red 3TB's in the drive bays, no raid as I only want a place to dump files - not interested in backups.
Thanks for any help

Hi Currently running a Gen8 microserver with a G1610T cpu. Can I get away with simply replacing with a xeon e3-1220v2 without having to reinstall?
Thanks
