I can now confirm that the Supermicro X11SSL-CF is working without any issues and with IT mode active

I was thinking about building a new NAS for my home and I was wondering if any of you is using successfully any 1151 mother board (latest socket from Intel). I was thinking for example in the ASRock Z170M-Itx. How is the new Intel Z170M chipset working?

Well it looks like Nr.1 is compatible

 

Does anyone know if I'm able to use the SATA3 controller with the LSI SAS controller at the same time or do i need to

buy a extra raid controller when i fill upp all the 8 ports on the LSI controller?

Im about to build my first NAS.

I have been looking for parts now over 5 weeks and it´s driving me crazy.

Im standing between 2 motherboards that i would like to have some help with.

 

1. Supermicro X11SSL-CF

Socket 1150 vs. Socket 1151.. That is the question.

Is option 1 even compatible with XPEnology? If not, lock the thread.
