Does two VM disks, are they IDE or SCSI?

 

Does spindown work for you?

 

For me installation is working, but when i shutdown the VM, attach my LSi raidcontroller, turn it on, it will auto power off the vm after 1 minute.

 

yes both disk are IDE and spin down works, auto power off happened to me when there was no support for the card.

Does this mean any LSI card will work ?

 

I get the GRUB 22 error after reboot as well.

 

after you install the .pat file you must re upload and replace the .vmdk on your datastore .

converting the image to VMware disk doesn't work in ESX5. my VM hang at GRUB, error 22.

 

i had the same problem i had to use StarWindConverter and select "Vmware Pre-allocated image" use virtual disk type "IDE"

that should be hard drive 1 then add another hard drive IDE on 0:1 mines was 10GB.

 

 

Has anyone gotten there LSI 9211-8i to work on this build.
