MaxPower Posted February 5, 2023 Share #1 Posted February 5, 2023 Hi all, i had a 5.2 installation working properly on a Proliant ML10 V2 server with Esxi 6.0 and two pci express HBA cards. I wanted upgrade Esxi to 6.7 so i did the first step to upgrade to 6.5 but the vm started giving me errors about the passthrough cards. I tried to upgrade to 6.7, same issue. Then i downgraded back to 6.0, all working properly. I tried a different approach, upgrading xpenology to 6.2 and on Esxi 6.0 was working. So i tried the upgrade to Esxi 6.5, same issue. Has anyone faced this issue before? I even tried to do the passthrough of one HBA card at a time but i have always had the error logged as below: 2023-01-14T22:54:01.246Z| vmx| I125: [msg.log.error.unrecoverable] VMware ESX unrecoverable error: (vmx) 2023-01-14T22:54:01.246Z| vmx| I125+ PCI passthru device 0000:04:00.0 caused an IOMMU fault type 12 at address 0x14a3a5000.
