(DSM6) How to stop a service

Hello

 

I'm new to Xpenology. I have installed DSM6.1.5-15254 on my HPE Proliant GEN8.

 

I found a guide on how to install a Minecraft server on DSM and it works well, but now i want to know how i stop the service? The services name is Spigot.

 

PS: I'm a NOOB to linux so please take care to makes steps for a guide on how to do this!

hallo,

 

just installing might be the wrong approach (you did not write waht guide you were using)

DSM is a appliace and software should be installed as package (*.spk)

you can add 3rd party repositorys for this and will see packages from that repository

a spigot package can be found here (and other minecraft related stuff)

http://source.synology.me/spkrepo/spkrepo/packages

 

that way you can go into package center (in web gui) and stop it if you need/want to do it

I did not know that i could stop the service through the package center
