muppets4 Posted January 11, 2014 Share #1 Posted January 11, 2014 I've just succesfully installed 4.2 on an AMD E-450 ITX motherboard. The motherboard has 5 SATA ports that were recognised during install. Everything seems working like it should and I an very happy with it. I have two questions: 1 Out of curiosity: what will happen when I click to update DSM from within the interface? 2 Can I add a supported SATA controller after installation? texasPI Posted January 11, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 11, 2014 Don't know about the second question but for the first, see this: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1082&start=330#p9060
Danyz Posted January 12, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 12, 2014 2 Can I add a supported SATA controller after installation? Hi, I add this controller card after installation and both USB and SATA works fine : http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 6815124130
muppets4 Posted January 12, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted January 12, 2014 Both questions answered. Updating seems risky, and I am happy with it now, so I will let it. Adding sata card is easy, if I understood it correctly. Just putting in a supported card. Thanks!
