DSM 6.1 and Adaptec RAID's kernel dump

Max Bigstone

Question

Hi!

I'm trying to install xpenology in a server with 2 adatpec cards (ASR-5405 + ASR-5805)... I've used precompiled modules and ailso I've tryed to compile my own aacraid.ko module but the problem is always the same... Kernel dump... Like this (using aacraid module from file extra3617_v4.4.zip):

I've always tryed install DSM with the Jun's loader (normally DS3617xs 6.1 Jun's Mod V1.02b.img)... After your request I've also tested DS3615xs 6.1, Jun's Mod V1.02b.img and DS3615xs 6.0.2 Jun's Mod V1.01.img... In the three case there are no error because the aacraid module isn't...

If I use the extra modules from this forum... Kernel dump on load aacraid module...  :-(  But if you see the dump, the problem comes from function "scsi_sysfs_add_sdev", that is in kernel, not in the module... I tryed to compile the kernel (downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/projects/dsgpl/files/Synology NAS GPL Source/15047branch/broadwell-source/) using the correct toolchain... But my kernel always has the same problem, missing symbols  loading synobios... I don't know where is my mistake...

Any idea?

Have you tried using the vanilla loader without adding any extra custom module? If not, then please do so and post the kernel logs.
