Hi, I've had a search but nothing turned up so hope its ok to ask here.

I have DSM 6.1.4-15217 U2 installed on a system I built myself ( bare metal ?)

Everything appears to work fine apart from 3 things as listed below :-

1. Network Resource meter always shows 0 even when transferring files.

2. When I try to setup router for external access I get a warning that 2 routers are on the network. I'm on Sky fibre so have a router and an OR modem so I guess they are what its detecting. It detects the Sky Hub correctly but its not in the database ( not too bothered about this as I am in the process of replacing it with a Netgear )

3. Mumble installed fine and appears to be running, however when I run Mumble from the main menu I get a new webpage that says "sorry the page you are looking for is not found"

I'm sure all of the above will be down to me being a noob at this.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hello & welcome to the forum. It's always helpful to say what hardware you're using when asking for help.

1. The network resource meter should work correctly, do you have more than 1 lan port?

2. I assume from what you've said that you're trying to setup your router through control panel or Ez-Internet, personally I've setup all of my port forwarding directly on my Asus router, a list of the ports used by the various applications can be found here:

https://www.synology.com/en-uk/knowledgebase/DSM/tutorial/General/What_network_ports_are_used_by_Synology_services

3. Not used Mumble so can't help I'm afraid.

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to reply.

The hardware I am using is as below :-

Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z87 Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard.

Intel Pentium G3258 (3.2 Ghz )

Corsair Vengeance 8Gb Kit (2x4GB) DDR3CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 PC3-12800 DDR3-1600

The motherboard only has 1 LAN port.

  • 1 month later...

Hi, I've managed to sort points 2 & 3 through a combination of experimenting and Google.

I still cant get the resource meter to work though.

I'm now using DSM 6.1.4-15217 Update 5.

My LAN is a Qualcomm® Atheros Killer E2201 chip (10/100/1000 Mbit)

If I'm missing any other info that I should provide please let me know.

TIA
