I have updated it on my G7 N54L, but DSM doesnt need a reboot.

Everything run like always (transmission, docker, plex, owncloud, filestation, etc)

Updated, it didn't reboot.

3 HP N54L and 1 N40L updated and verified OK.

Manually rebooted 2 of them, as I had to do some cablemanagement, and no problems so far.

update from 5 to 6 on HP N40L without problems or reboot.

updated from 4 to 6 directly from web gui. No problems so far from couple of days. HP N54L

As this is an 'in version' update the boot loader remains 5.2-5967

updated from 4 to 6 directly from web gui

A reboot was required and then it gets stuck on the message "the services are preparing..." 

No solution found yet

 

(HP-GEN8, xpenology running as a VM under KVM)
