On the Synology download page for the DS3615, click on 'all DSM versions' and it takes you to the ftp server with critical updates, you will find U5 in there. Updates are cumulative so you should be able to apply it directly, but as always make sure you have a backup of critical data.

bearcat Posted November 20, 2017 Share #10 Posted November 20, 2017 (edited) @macovsky You should be able to "automagickly" update using the control panel gui, but if you want to do it manually, you download the .pat file (the 23MB file), the .md5 file is just the md5 checksum file, that yoyu can use to verify your download. bearcat Posted November 20, 2017 Share #12 Posted November 20, 2017 If you do the auto update, you should get update 6, and that has been confirmed working OK on my boxes (HP miniservers).

sbv3000 Posted November 20, 2017 Share #14 Posted November 20, 2017 auto update can be 'dangerous' and could update to a later version of dsm (6.1) - make sure you choose 'important updates only' in the control panel dsm update>update settings section
