Can't boot 1.02 loader on Intel DN2800MT

Recommended Posts

Hello,

My mb Intel DN2800MT works perfect with 5.2.x but I cant upgrade to v 6.x.x. I try all loaders but the issue is the same - stuck on Boot kernel.

Can anyone help me?

The monitor output with XPE 6x boot loader will only show 'booting kernel' after the initial grub menu. Its not the same as XPE 5 where the monitor would show a lot of driver and system load diagnostics.

Have you searched for the nas on your lan using synology assistant? It should be there if your network card is supported (most intel are)

Network card is Intel® 82574L, when "booting kernel" stuck, I cant turn off numlock on my keyboard. Has anyone with this or similar motherboard with  working XPE 6x?

Dont worry about the keyboard and booting kernel message - can you find the NAS on your lan using the synology assistant and access the web page to install dsm? You dont need a keyboard/monitor attached once you have installed dsm

82574L needs e1000e.ko and thats not part of juns laoder, but its part of dsm itself

2 options

1. temporary nic to install dsm, after install the driver will be loaded during boot from disk, temporary nic can be removed

2. extract e1000e.ko from dsm*.pat (inside hda1.tgz)  and make it part of extra.lzma

read "2. modify the "synoboot.img" from here
