Docker showing wrong CPU usage

Recommended Posts

Hi,

It seems like my Docker Settings show the wrong CPU Usage.

if i check the System CPU usage, or use top inside the console i get the correct CPU usage.

But the docker Settings and the Docker Container status window show totally wrong CPU usage.

Anyone ever had a similar issue?

Yes, it does! Also the ram usage deviates in the Docker UI and the process list.

Do yourself a favor and download the latest docker package: https://usdl.synology.com/download/Package/spk/Docker/17.05.0-0344/

modify the "info" file inside the spk and change the min version from 15163 to 15152.

During installation you'll get a warning that the package would be corrupted. Just ignore it and enjoy docker 17.05.0 :)

As a Bonus the overall docker CPU usage will be drasticly reduded.

They went from 1.11.2-0329 to 17.05.0 ? Whatever ^^

Guess the 15163 is an internal Testing version or maybe Update 9.

Well.. it did work. But it deleted all my containers.

Might be because i've once switched the packages from Volume1 to Volume2.

Synology just skipped 1.12 and 1.13 and went directly to Docker CE 17.0. Docker itself jumped from 1.13 to CE/EE 17.0.

If you install Docker on a different volume, it is not able to see the meta data on the old volume. Hope you exported the settings before you updated :)

A Bugfixed version of Docker CE17.05 is available on DSM6.2.

You can get it from https://usdl.synology.com/download/Package/spk/Docker/17.05.0-0348/

The installation still possible with 6.1.3-15152 when the INFO file is modified to match the version instead.

See changelog: https://www.synology.com/de-de/releaseNote/Docker
