Loader: Jun's 1.02b 3615xs

Platform: ECS TIGD2-CI, Intel D2550, 2GB DDR3 memory, 1 PCI-E 1X slot, and 2 SATAII port.

DSM: 6.1.6 UP1

SATA: INTEL NM10(2x), asmedia1061(2x, PCIE port)

HARDDISK: 2 set of Hitachi 3tb.

I edit the grub.cfg, satamap=1 to satamap=222.The first time install DSM through website. The harddisk in port 5 and port 6(On asmedia1061) can be recognized, but the harddisk can't be recognized after DSM reboot. If I changed harddisk link to the sata port on moterboard it can be recognized and start DSM. Then if I have one harddisk on motherboard and another in asmediea 1061 the DSM can start and recognized the harddisk on port 5 or port 6.In the earlier DSM5.2 these 2 harddisk can be recognized both in the asmedia1061.

Platform: ASRock J4105-ITX

Loader: Jun's v1.02b DS916+

DSM: DSM 6.1.7-15284
LAN: Realtek RTL8111H Gigabit

SATA3: 2x Intel via chipset, 2x ASMedia ASM1061 (hot plugging supported on all ports)

Comments: This is the Gemini Lake update of the ITX motherboard ASRock has been selling for years, and it runs XPEnology baremetal without special configs or drivers.

Pros: 4x 2.4 Ghz cores and up to 32GB RAM (ignore the manual's 8GB limit). Hardware-accelerated video (Intel UHD 600) and AES-NI hardware encryption. On-board WiFi option.

Only con is lack of expansion - only one PCI 2.0x1 slot.

This board is basically a DS918+ with double the L2 cache and higher clocks.  Can't go wrong for $85 USD if you want to build a simple 4-bay Plex-able XPEnology NAS.

Comments: After reading the post above (thanks for that) I've just bought this and added 16GB of RAM. At install, I just installed it from the web (no pat) and updated it to this last version in the update panel. No probs at all.

NAS 1

Platform: Netgear ReadyNAS RN312 upgraded with 4GB Ram

Loader: Jun's 1.02b (3615xs)

DSM version: DSM 6.1.7-15284

Custom modules/ramdisk?: None

Comments: Has been up and running for 2 months without issue. I specifically set this unit up with 2 8TB Ironwolf drives to sync my family's 6 MS OneDrive accounts. NIC's are bonded and can transfer files from 2 clients each at 109MB/sec. everything operates perfectly without any modifications. This unit has an hdmi port and the bios is accessible to make and external usb drive the first boot device and not have to physically press a button on the unit to have it boot from the external usb drive. This will also keep the onboard netgear os intact only requiring removal of the external usb and a reboot to go back to the netgear os.

NAS 2

Platform: Netgear ReadyNAS RN516 upgraded CPU with Xeon e3-1265L v2 and 16GB ECC Ram

Loader: Jun's 1.02b (3615xs)

DSM version: DSM 6.1.7-15284

Custom modules/ramdisk?: None

Comments: Has been up and running for 4 months without issue. I use this unit as a Plex Media Server. Populated with 6 4TB Ironwolf drives. NIC's are bonded and can transfer files from 2 wired clients each at 109MB/sec. Internally everything operates correctly, However the front door of this unit has a small status/info screen that does not work and the touch pad on the door illuminates when touched but other that that it has no function (its a netgear gimmick anyway considering its a device that is designed to be controlled remotely) This unit has an hdmi port and the bios is accessible to make and external usb drive the first boot device and not have to physically press a button on the unit to have it boot from the external usb drive. This will also keep the onboard netgear os intact only requiring removal of the external usb and a reboot to go back to the netgear os.
