Strange idea/question : Would it be possible

Question

Would ir be possible to install DSM (the application) in a different Linux distro, like Debian or Red Hat.

there is a dsm application? did you ever had a look with ssh/putty whats an the system disk?

its a little more the just a application and beside this they have started to build protections into the system and not everything in the dsm "appliance" is open source i guess

Oh well too bad, i was hoping to get a XPEnology running on AWS EC2, but with the major Linux distro only being supported and the DSM "appliance" not being able to be ported, this is will not work.

there is a vritual dsm for KVM usualy running with the VMM plugin, not shure how that one is protected not to run on a normal kvm linux system
