standerby Posted September 16, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 16, 2017 I download vmware image DS3615xs 6.1 Jun’s Mod V1.02-alpha ISO (VM) from here https://xpenology.club/downloads/. When I try to open ds3615.ovf file I got failed to open disk synoboot.vmdk. I make sure the file physiccally exists. Somehow VMware work station 12 can not find it. Any help? standerby Posted September 17, 2017 Author Share #2 Posted September 17, 2017 It looks like the VM is created for SATA disks, while my computer has SCSI disks. I replaced stat with scsi in ds3615.ovf and it still doesn't work.
IG-88 Posted September 17, 2017 Share #3 Posted September 17, 2017 did you read the tutorial about it on that site? https://xpenology.club/setup-xpenology-vmware-workstation-12/ i'd expect it to work as the author had testted it most people here use esxi or (under windows) virtual box as both are free to use
