Trantor Posted February 15, 2014 Author Share #276 Posted February 15, 2014 Is it safe to install update 4.3-3827? http://www.synology.com/en-global/relea ... l/DS3612xs Synology on Facebook, said it was a recommended update... Version: 4.3-3827 (2014/2/14) Change Log This update repairs the system and removes malware caused by past system vulnerabilities (CVE-2013-6955, CVE-2013-6987). The compatibility of SMB 2 file service has been enhanced when transferring files to Mac OS X 10.9. Fixed an issue where SFTP service would consume excessive memory when it was enabled. This update is required to continue using QuickConnect & Push Service notifications. Next beta will use this build (4.3-3827)

My hub is showing a gigabit connection from my N54L with this release. Did you update the BIOS from the stock install ? I flashed a BIOS from Nov '13 when I set my microserver up (don't know if that's related).

BlacknWhite Posted March 2, 2014 Share #291 Posted March 2, 2014 Hey Trantor, first of all: Thanks for your great work! Do you have an idea how I can read the real CPU Temperature? Maybe over a command in the terminal? I have the HP N54L and unfortunately the "system information" in DSM is showing the wrong temperature. Mentat Posted March 4, 2014 Share #293 Posted March 4, 2014 I use beta 7, works great, with one exception. On each reboot, I get Grub Error 21 and I need to rewrite the SD card on my HP proliant Gen8 microserver. So... what is the problem ? So... what is the problem ? When you use Synology Assistant to install DSM etc, is the checkbox asking if you want to create SHR volumes set (think it is by default)? If so then next time, uncheck it. I think otherwise DSM may try and add your SD card to a SHR volume and corrupt it.
