cseb Posted August 8, 2017 Share #1 Posted August 8, 2017 Hi everyone, I try to install DSM6 on HP Gen8 with SAS controler HP410 I configure 2 logical drive. Each logical drive contain one physical disk (Raid 0) I have compiled hpsa.ko and add on to the extra.lzma. I have maked the Usb Key The server boot on the usb key... I have access to the wizard to install dsm I select the 2 disk but the install stop with error 35 : failed to format the disk. Could You help me to solve this problem ? I found that removing all drives except the one where the system partition uses during the setup wizard allowed the install to finish. Then once the system boots successful, add the additional drives and create your volumes. I can't tell you why this worked, but I saw this on three different servers I built, all different models. cseb Posted September 7, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted September 7, 2017 With jun's loader and the HPSA module added to the extra.lzma the server boots but the drive is not recognised correctly with 'Capacity read failed' in the var/log/message.
