DragsterPS Posted July 29, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 29, 2017 Hi, I recently installed XPenology on my new NAS, and I want to shut down the HDD and Power led because they make lots of light. I searched the internet on how to shut them off, and it seems that these settings are un /dev/ttyS1, but I think this has changed on DSM 6. Is there a way to do it? Thank you. nevusZ Posted July 29, 2017 Share #2 Posted July 29, 2017 Hy Why don't you just disconnect the LEDs on the Mainboard? Would be the easiest way. Or take electrical tape and stick it over the LEDs

Opening the "difficult" case and physically disabling the LED is easier/quicker than finding an even more difficult software solution.
