MBchristoff Posted July 21, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 21, 2017 I noticed there is not really a topic anymore where people confirm if the latest updates work for 5.2. Has anyone tried 5.2-5967 update 4 yet?

ferno Posted July 23, 2017 Share #5 Posted July 23, 2017 Great Topic!! Should be pinned and there should be one for 6.X also. I also have updated my 5.X install to the latest update on a HP Gen8 without problems. No reboot yet.

MBchristoff Posted July 24, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted July 24, 2017 (edited) NOTE: I can confirm 5.2-5967 update 4 works on N40L. No reboort required. Awesome, I'm using a N40L as my synology. I'll try the update myself too. I also have a simple 6.x xpenology as testsetup so I would be able to test those updates as well. RobsterUK Posted August 1, 2017 Share #15 Posted August 1, 2017 Can anyone confirm if its safe to go from DSM 5.2-5967 Update 2 to Update 4 via webgui? Currently using 5.2-5967 Update 1 boot loader. Obviously its safe to go from Update 3 to 4. I always tread cautiously before updating a working system.
sbv3000 Posted August 1, 2017 Share #16 Posted August 1, 2017 I've updated 3 of my bare metal xpe 5.2-5967.1 loader/dsm 5.2-5967-U2 boxes to U4 via web gui - updates with a refresh no reboot - its a samba patch so windows file services stop during the update
