Recommended Posts

I've been running it full time for two week and my uptime is nearly 15 days not had a single crash or issue it's had a moderate load at times.

Only issue I have experience is a slight disconnect from network I'm logging data to see if it's an issue with the firmware files for nic or a network issue my end I believe it's an issue my end with router but I will confirm after more testing.

installing on a new drive works :P

whant can i do to see my originial drive and be able to boot with network support with the old drives ?

looks like something is bloking the network to start, is there a way to ignore this and force the system to reinstall ?

Your options are to either install on a clean formated hdd and if you need files off other hdd load it up in a Linux live cd and copy over.

I will update to version 1.02b over weekend

install madm

#mdadm --assemble --scan

run disks app in ubuntu live, mount the 5Tb SHR/BTRFS volume

All good,

instead of copy i could change something or delete some syno file to restart the setup without moving all data ?

Not sure to understand.
@khile : You compile yourself a new kernel with AMD support ?

And use the loader 1.02b ? (or 1.02a ?)

I believe jun fix a bug in last version, during the migration.

I will test on  my N40L.

Tested on N40L.
Disabled C1E support in bios. (What is exactly ? )

Synology Assistant, found it !!

Installation in progress for 15047. Next update it's OK.
It's possible to use 3617xs in change the grub.cfg ??

SSD on Sata port is not detected...

Great!

Work fine on N54L

Just disable C1 in bios, and in menu force install create new installation of DSM DS3615xs 6.1.2.15132

Worked fine. So, when i trying to upgrade DSM DS3615xs 6.1.0.15047 to DSM DS3615xs 6.1.2.15132 - NAS lost network (cant find him on network.)

Did you change PID/VID in grub.cfg ? No for myself... and it worked in force mode.

Some problem for me with hardware support :

-Cannot switch to MTU 9000 on RTL8111 added.

-additional Sata on Motherboard are not supported ??? (eSata port not tested)

EDIT:

-UPS support is OK, APC is connected :

It automatically reduces your CPU multiplier (slows CPU down) when the computer isn't doing much. It's a way to save power.

By any change they are controlled with a other controller, perhaps the additional sata needs other drivers?

Last thing, about MTU 9000, it's a problem with RTL8111B, 7200 is the max...

I UPGRADED with success.
Click on update by DSM and choose force reinstall during the reboot. I choose install last version during assistant :

It's worked :

Yes of course.

You need custom bios for N40L/N54L , to have this menu :
Chipset >> Southbrigde configuration >> SB SATA Configuration

Sata IDE Combined Mode ==> DISABLED
Sata ESP on all port ==> Enabled

Source :

https://homeservershow.com/forums/topic/3397-modified-bios-for-microserver-n40l-enables-hidden-features/

Thank you

i'll try it this night
