Letsencrypt in DSM6: The operation failed

Recommended Posts

Has anyone been able to get Letsencrypt working on DSM6?

Whenever I try to request a new certificate I get the following error: "The operation failed. Please log in to DSM again and retry".

I intend to use a subdomain, so set the domain name to the sub-domain, the email to my email adress and leave the subject alternative name blank.

Edit: I managed to request a certificate by routing port 80 to my NAS. However... when going to ip:5001 it still says that the connection is not secure...

When lets encrypt issue you certificate you need to switch to that certificate. By default there is synology certificate issued.

Go to Certificates->Configure and chose new certificate for your domain/service.
