Hi all,
I’m working on building a custom NAS system based on XPEnology and have run into an issue I can’t resolve. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction or suggest a better profile/loader for my setup.
My hardware setup:
• CPU: Intel Core i5‑14600K (Raptor Lake)
• Motherboard: MSI MAG B660M Mortar Max WiFi DDR4
• RAM: 96 GB DDR4
Drives:
• 12 SATA drives total
• 6 via onboard chipset
• 6 via ASM1166 PCIe SATA controller (M.2 adapter)
Boot SSD: 1 × PCIe x1 NVMe SSD
Cache: 2 × M.2 NVMe SSDs (direct to board)
• NIC: Dell Broadcom 57810S 10G‑2S‑X8 (SFP+ dual port, PCIe x8)

What I’ve tried:
 Loader profiles:
• DS3622xs+ → boots, but not accessible via IP after DSM finishes loading
• SA6400 → boots, IP responds only during bootloader stage, but browser access fails after boot
• All BIOS virtualization options enabled: VT‑x, VT‑d, etc.
• Tested with bare minimum config (1 HDD only, no NIC) – still no web access
• Tried limiting PCIe lanes to Gen 3 in BIOS – no change
• Checked MAC/SN in extra_cmdline – they match loader image

Questions:

Could this be CPU/chipset incompatibility with the loader profile?

Do DS3622xs+ and SA6400 profiles require specific kernel/drivers that don’t work with 14th gen Intel?

Is there a more suitable loader profile for this hardware combo (i5‑14600K + 12 SATA drives + 10GbE card)?

Are there any special tricks in BIOS or loader config to get these profiles working?

Any insights or working config examples would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
