Can you control how DSM sees Drive controller order ?

3 disk controller motherboard has 2 disk controllers, one h330 hba 

Controller 0 Intel sata controller has 1 disk for testing but want to put 4 here and have DSM recognize them as 9-12

Controller 1 Intel sata controller has 1 boot disk (obviously don't want it seen)

Controller 2 h330 with 8 disk that I want to show as disks 1-8

 

Not sure what to do to get that. 

My current sataportmap 008 and diskidxmap 0800FF get the physical disks into the proper bays and boot disk (controller 1) unseen

 

Adding disks to controller 0 are either unseen but have bays 1-4 reserved and bumps h330 disks to 5-12.

sataportmap I've tried 804, 408, 008 with diskidxmaps tried 000008, 080000, 000004, 04000 in combination with the sataportmaps

 

Am I chasing wild geese or is this even possible?

 

The one thing I've noticed is that through all the testing my SAS disks on the H330 all show up even if they move bays depending on my mapping configs. But the tester sata disk on the internal controller 0 doesn't show up anywhere in DSM. Seem like only the placeholders
