DSM 7 - Esxi - DSM_DS3622xs+_69057.pat

Hi, I'm trying to install a DSM on an esxi

I followed a tutorial here   

 

I reached the step where I can start the VM, and get this status :

Running Synology Discovery, I can see the instance :

I have my pat file ( DSM_DS3622xs+_69057.pat ), that I used previously.Now , when I select recover, a count down of 10 min starts and ends by an error.

I guess there is a trick that I don't understand regarding the name I give to the machine to match the .pat ?

It's not really clear to me what I'm supposed to change ( FYI, I double checked and apparently, my "HW" settings in the VM are correct )

I think I'm very closed to  .... Thanks for your help and insights !

1) for 7.2. it is better to use new and more automated bootloaders, for example:

https://github.com/AuxXxilium/arc (use file arc-xxx.vmdk-flat.zip for ESXi - it does not require conversion) 

https://github.com/PeterSuh-Q3/tinycore-redpill

https://github.com/syno-community/rr

2) you don't need to manually upload the .pat file - let it download automatically.

3) in the VM settings, try to specify the "BIOS".

4) if everything still doesn't work out, then let's give you more information so that you can help, for example: pictures with VM settings, loader settings, etc.

Hello,

I found myself facing the same problem as you, I started the VM with Friend mode like video to finish the installation and it worked. Now I can start normally, it works well.
