Pyr8 Posted November 24 Share #1 Posted November 24 I have a DS1815+ plus that had the Intel Atom issue and required the "transistor fix". After swapping out the transistor as well as applying the resistor to pins 1 and 6, I was able to boot the NAS and update to the latest DSM updates. All was well, or was it? The issue started when I went to shut down the unit from GUI. It initially looked like the unit was going to shut itself off, however after 10 to 15 minutes the blue light on the unit was still flashing. I then tried to hold the power button on the front of the unit to try to do a "hard" shutdown, however nothing happened. In the end I ended up unplugging the power cord from the unit in order to shut it off. Now, when plugging the power cord back in, the unit will immediately power on without the need to hit the power button and will not boot. I have gone so far as to test the USBEST on the firmware daughter board (everything checks out as good). At this point I am at a loss and hope that someone here might have an idea of what is going on with the unit as I would really like to revive the NAS. Thanks in advance for the advise and help! Trabalhador Anonimo Posted November 24 Share #2 Posted November 24 It look like more a electronic problem. You probably need to follow all power circuit to see if there is a short keeping your unit on.
