SDK665 Posted September 16, 2024 #1 Posted September 16, 2024 3 Nights ago I made a blunder by clicking on updating my DSM 6.2-23739 to 6.2.2-24922. Once the update completed my NAS was nowhere to be seen. I just couldn't pull the power cord fast enough to stop the process as I clicked then went off the get food COMPLETELY Forgot there was a reason I never updated in the first place. ***Waiting to get my hands on an R730XD to replace the R510. So. After the update completed and DSM not found I pulled the drives in an attempt to -If it's broken, mind as well update. Does anyone know if Once updated to latest DSM, click back in the disks, will DSM recognize and my data be available or am I F*%ked ? Because I did not get a chance to backup; If I reinstall DSM 6, would I be able to get back to my data ? I started the PeterSuh tinycore-redpill.v1.0.4.7 but stuck at the boot screen. This is all I get << Attached screenshot >> Can someone tell me the next step as I do not get a model menu. Thank you all in advance. Quote
djvas335 Posted September 16, 2024 #2 Posted September 16, 2024 The screenshot shows that you do not have any ip address configured on your interfaces, so no network or internet, the loader needs internet to build, to simplify this just configure a DHCP server on your network and try again. 1 Quote
SDK665 Posted September 16, 2024 Author #3 Posted September 16, 2024 I am also getting this. when .rploader.sh update now I get rploader not found Quote
SDK665 Posted September 16, 2024 Author #4 Posted September 16, 2024 My R510 has 2 onboard BCM unused. quad port i350 Intel 1G 2 X520-DA - SFP 10G They are all plugged in except for the BCM Do I need to unplug the sfp and the other 3 ports ? Quote
djvas335 Posted September 16, 2024 #5 Posted September 16, 2024 @SDK665 Please read the instructions on the Peter Suh loader's github page, rploader.sh is obsolete, you need to run ./menu.sh, you need internet to build this loader so you must first investigate why is your network not working, ie can be drivers, DHCP, etc etc Quote
SDK665 Posted September 16, 2024 Author #6 Posted September 16, 2024 Ok, now I got the loader to work. Now. Do I plug the 12-drives back in to install DSM or does it install onto the other usb ? Quote
SDK665 Posted September 16, 2024 Author #7 Posted September 16, 2024 NM, I figured it out. Plug all the drives back in and migrate. 1 Quote
SDK665 Posted September 18, 2024 Author #8 Posted September 18, 2024 Hello Now I am running into this: What do I need to do ? Quote
SDK665 Posted September 18, 2024 Author #9 Posted September 18, 2024 Took a little bit of poking around, but was finally able to figured out the problems. Issues resolved. Now, the proud owner of a DS3622xs+ running DSM 7.2.1.69057 Was able to restored all of the files Had to reconfigured the entire NAS config as it did not retain. But now, everything is back to as it was. Quote
