vicrod74 Posted August 11 Share #1 Posted August 11 Hi guys, I'm experimenting with an Intel NUC and an external 4 Bay drive enclosure with a USB 3.0 port. I'm using ARLP-18n for the boot-loader (V23.10.4) I'm having a bit of trouble getting all 4 drives recognized correctly. I need to know how the bits are calculated in the Synoinfo section. For example, I have the following parameters: maxdisks: "20" usbportcfg: "0xfffffff" esataportcfg: "0x0" Internalportcfg: "0xfffff" So it only recognizes one drive as initialized, but the other three are not initialized. Where can I find information on the HEX bits to enable?
vicrod74 Posted August 11 Author Share #2 Posted August 11 (edited) For anyone interested in experimenting with the Intel NUC and an external drive bay with USB 3.X, the values above worked for me. In the Intel NUC go into the BIOS and disable USB Legacy mode. Otherwise, it will take forever to boot up. I also realized I turned off the SATA chip-set by mistake, once I enabled it, all four drives became accessible. 😎 Edited August 11 by vicrod74
