robotica72 Posted June 21, 2024 #1 Posted June 21, 2024 Hi - Im having an odd issue that just started up a few weeks ago and Im just getting time to look into it. Ive had issues in the past that when my server goes down dirty (power outage, for example) - when it starts back up, its offline and I had to restart it a few times and it would work. This time, Im having a new issue - Ive tried the reboot, like before, but the system never comes back onine. If you ping the IP it will start to ping, then DSM loads up and the screen shows the IP - ping is still good. When you get the DSM prompt, the network will suddenly disconnect a few seconds after that. The Lights on the NIC actually go off, and of course, you lose the pings at that point. The DSM console also locks up and you cant do anything - hitting enter does nothing / etc.. - If you hit enter before losing the NIC lights, it works and you can type for a few seconds before the NIC lights go out and the system locks up. Ive tried things here and there - Im no expert on XPEnology, so Iim just guessing at settings or any changes and nothing has helped yet. \ The system has two NIC's, both have the same issue - and just in case, I used a USB3 NIC - it was found and started to ping, only to do the same thing as the on-board NICs and pings stop working and the system locks up. Any suggestions? I can get other information, just wasnt sure what to add - one thing I know is that the arc version is currenly running 23.12.13 Quote

Trabalhador Anonimo Posted September 7, 2024 #3 Posted September 7, 2024 Hi, Durring the boot, NIC light is on and ping is working. After reboot, my NIC gets off for about 60 seconds (light of) and ping get lost. But after another 60 seconds, it gets back (light on and ping works). Website gets another 60 seconds to get online. Boot takes about 180 seconds. Gigabyte H97 HD3, 32GB ran: 11x 1TB HDD, onboard NIC, 3622xs+ DSM 7.2.1-69057-5 Quote
vicrod74 Posted September 8, 2024 #4 Posted September 8, 2024 Robotica, Please update your ArcLoader to the latest version. I think it's 24.09.05 nowadays. Also provide more details on your hardware, like what model, version, CPU, Network Cards, etc. the more details the better. 😉 Quote
vicrod74 Posted September 8, 2024 #5 Posted September 8, 2024 You can do one more thing after updating the ArcLoader Menu. You can reinstall DSM (Reinstall Mode) - I had the same situation in upgrading using the manual install of the .pat file. I lost the network drivers. 🙃 That should bring back the network drivers, the downside is you have to reinstall all the apps again to DSM. Quote
