Hi,

Tried several configurations (DS923+, DS3622xs+) without success.

Any suggestion that would work with the Kentsfield  Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 CPU?

Thanks!

Привет

Перепробовал несколько конфигураций (DS923+, DS3622xs+), но безуспешно.

Есть ли какие-нибудь предложения, которые будут работать с процессором Kentsfield Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700?

Спасибо!

Hello. Try installing DSM 6.2 on bootloader 1.2b. The DS3615xs model will make you happy. For DSM 7.2, AHCI must be enabled in the BIOS settings. It is most likely not on your motherboard. If you do, use the ARC loader. And most likely, everything will work out too. I'm sorry, but I'm writing through an auto-translator.

Hi @VladimirMar, thanks for answering.

I have a PCI SATA card that brings AHCI support.

In fact, DSM 7.2 is working like a charm on the same setup with a Pentium D CPU and ARC loader for a DS923+.

But when changing the Pentium D CPU for the Core 2 Quad Q6700 one, the computer can't complete the load process and reboots before DSM starts.

I thought the issue was the lack of compatibility between DS923+ and Core 2 Quad Q6700, but tried DS3622xs+ without success, so I was looking for some advice on platform compatibility.

Thanks again for your reply.

You can try installing DSM on a Pentium D, and after installing it, change the processor. What if it works?

I have ordered another Q6700 (they are very cheap!) and will try it

Thanks!
