Drivers requests for DSM 5.2

Recommended Posts

Hi,

see no Audio driver. Have here some DELL Optiplex 160 and want use the onboard audio chip to use it with squeezelite.I install squeezelite but it doesn't find any audio device. So I believe there is no audio driver included inside 6.0.2 for onborad chip. Can somebody told me if its possible to get a driver for this?

Thanks

Stefan

Hello

I would like to install Xpenology on a Proxmox Virtual Environment and for best performance I would like to assign a phisical disks directly using VirtIO bus (which is paravirtualized). Virtio drivers are actually included as I can see the disk in /dev/vda but they're missing in DSM. I also tried to add them manually using synospace but without luck.

Could you please update the drivers so VirtIO disks are usable? (I think XPenology only uses /dev/sdX disks)

Or could someone please help me in having my VirtIO disk usable?

Thank you

I want to create my first own NAS and want to use the mainboard "ASRock J3455-ITX SoC".

In the specification of the mainboard is written that this mainboard use "Realtek RTL8111GR" as lan driver.

In the Hardware support list i found only "RTL8111G" without R.

Can i use this mainboard or is it neccessary to find another one?

Also I've seen that 2 SATA connectors goes directly to the CPU and the other 2 by "ASMedia ASM1061".

Is this driver for the sata controller also supported?

Thank you for your support.

I need

SCSI

----

Intel C600 Series Chipset SAS

version: DSM 6.1 or 5.2 is ok

Intel C600 Series Chipset SAS in synobios.ko is not working in dsm 5.2 too

Do anyone have Intel synobios.ko v1/v2/v3 that have Intel C600 Series Chipset SAS driver?

At first thank you for good job you are doing.

Next I would like to ask you to add drivers for

mainbord: Gigabyte GA-M61SME-S2L

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+

My setup start up, but I can not find it through find.synology. Network cable is supported as you mentioned in in supported hardware "forcedeth : nForce Ethernet". If there's something I'm missing i would be grateful for any guidance where to find answare to solve my problem.

After weckend I will try to connect via com port so hope I will get some more logs and get to know what's going on.

What do I need to provide for this to occur most easily? Supermicro and intel have Windows and Linux drivers for this motherboard.

Driver request:

Based on Supermicro X10SDV-4C-TLN2F

https://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon/D/X10SDV-4C-TLN2F.cfm

CPU and Chipset Drivers:

Broadwell based SOC

Intel® Xeon® processor D-1521

FCBGA 1667

NIC Driver Request:

Intel® D-1500 SoC 10GbE Controller

SoC 10GbE X552/X557-AT 10GBASE-T

Latest intel Linux Driver: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/18700/Ethernet-Intel-Network-Adapter-Virtual-Function-Driver-for-Intel-10-Gigabit-Ethernet-Network-Connections

ixgbe drivers .... not sure if these are useful for getting a driver that will work for a bare metal install (bit out of my depth with this stuff ).

Ethernet Driver CD for windows, Linux and FreeBSD.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22283/Ethernet-Intel-Ethernet-Adapter-Connections-CD?v=t

******************************************

EDIT:

I can confirm the mainboard and NIC are operating on 6.1 update 2 (using jun's 1.02A loader with the 3615xs files not3617xs).

The changes I had to make in 1.01 to get the NIC to function properly (relatingto the igbe driver interestingly even though the xgbe is for 10GBit?) are not required with the image structure in 1.02A

EDIT 2:

Now running 1.02-2A with the latest version of DSM and DS3617XS image and all appears to be detected and functioning as normal. I'd like to move some of this to the compatible hardware thread - do I just post and it gets folded into the overall thread?

I have checked the Supported Devices list for 12G HBA card SAS Drivers and did not see these on the list. I am now running two builds with a 16x and 24x port SAS cards in two separate builds. I wcan use greatly appreciate the addition of the drivers. Please eat me know if that would be possible.

Hopefully I did not make a mistake and duplicate the request. If this is a duplicate request, my apologies. Please do let me know. Thanks in advance for your asssitance.

Oops! Details of build, one system running on DSM 5.2 and the other on DSM 6.1. Both are stable. CPU Xeon, mobo Supermicro X10 series, LSI SAS controller and Intel 5xx 10G copper.

Hi,

I am running an AMD box with 780G chipset and SB700 southbridge. All appears to be working, drives are recognized and I have a working volume. So far so good. It is running XPEnology 5.2-5967 and DSM 5.2-5967-1. Directly installed, no ESX or HyperV. Mainboard Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H.

Only the SMART values are not read by DSM. I am especially missing the drive temperatures. Is this a setting or a driver issue?

On the console of the pc, smartctl command reports drive serial but states that SMART is not enabled.

Edit: I ran a Gparted live linux on this box and SMART was working fine. Smartctl returned correct smart values including drive temperature.

Can this be fixed by inserting a (newer) .ko ?

Is possible add VGA drivers like Intel HD Graphics? I need it to enable VGA Hardware Accelaration to transcode video.

Was it accelerated?

Let me know how it will work.

its about Intel® Quick Sync Video aka Intel QSV

its mentioned here:

https://xpenology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=32651

for usage of ffmpeg 2.8.0 and newer it needs something that synology dsm 6.0 does'nt support

the coder of the serviio plugin explained it here

https://pcloadletter.co.uk/2012/01/25/s ... o-package/

I think there's something wrong with the current mpt2sas-driver.

My card (SAS9201-16i) is supposed to be supported, but I get the following error right after boot finished:

While I can see the drives in DSM (even the SN and temp), I get a lot of error in the logs like this:

And as mentiond in other threads. Kernel panics if I try to turn on SNMP which only happens with this LSI card.

Hello !

I'm using a MB Gigabyte EP45-DS3R (6 SATAII ports), a E8400 processor, 8GO of DDR2 ram and 2 x Realtek 8111C for the network wich is normally supported ... but i have this problem :

When i tranfer files or folder int his way : PC==>NAS no problem, my speed i about 100 and 120 MO/s (really MO not Mb  ) for big files of course !

When i tranfer files or folder int his way NAS==> PC ... the speed is about à 8MO/S, or 10 MO/s in the best case !

Do you think there is a problem with the driver ?

A little more about my config :

- My NAS is made with a MB Gigabyte EP45-DS3R (6 SATAII ports), a E8400 processor, 8GO of DDR2 ram and 2 x Realtek 8111C for the netwok

- I have 5 HD in RAID SHR

- The NAS have the DSM 6.0.2-8451 installed(but it was the same with DSM 5.2-5967) and XPEnoboot_DS3615 xs 6.0.2 Jun's Mod in a USB 2.0 32GO key

- The ethernet port is in 1000Mbps full duplex.

- The NAS and the PC are connected in the same switch SMC GS16 wich is in 1000 MBps

- The PC is really fast : I7 4770K with 32 GO of memory and a Samsung 850 EVO SSD

P.S : i've tested transfer with, FTP (Filezilla), windows explorer and Filestation and the result is the same

P.S 2 : when i remove all the HD and install Win7 (instead of RAID5 + DSM)in a test HD, there is no problem, my speed is good (about 100Mo/s).

P.S 3 : when i remove all the HD and install Xpenology (instead of RAID5 + DSM)in a test HD, the problem is the same

Sorry for my poor english ... but i'm french and i've don't find an answer in the french section

Not sure....

I have a problem with Hyperbackup when i copy from DSM to another DSM.

If i copy same file on NAs from PC, no problem...

Mellanox ConnectX-3 VPI Adapter / MCX354A-FCBT

Would love to see Mellanox ConnectX-3 VPI driver support.

It just needs to support 40Gig Ethernet Mode (no Infiniband)

On CentOS 7 I'm using Mellanox Linux Driver 4.0-2.0.0.1 which works perfectly

thanks !
