Drivers requests for DSM 5.2

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Great work with this project, I've just set up a new box with multiple harddrives as my new NAS and it looks promising! :smile:

Is it possible to add drivers for Hauppauge Win TV-HVR-2200? Anyone that can help me add these drivers manually perhaps? That would be awesome!

http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-HVR-2200

Thanks!

A tale of 2 UPS's. I have two almost identical DS servers.

Intel Atom based Zotac ION Combo - 2GB Mem

1. 1TBx4 WD Red 2.5 - UPS= Cyberpower 625VA

2. 2TBx5 Samsung 3.5 - UPS = APC UPS550

system 1 works fine and reports 2400 secs run time on battery

system 2 hangs when I plug the USB cable from UPS into any USB port.

Cheers

MF

Another request, would you please add AR8161 NIC support?

lspci:

1969:1091 Atheros Communications AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet

v1.0 already include this driver:

Add ATHEROS alx driver (Qualcomm Atheros AR816x/AR817x support)

ar8161 works. it's my mistake~ I put another variant edition to boot. :oops:

Does this version support WOL? just tried options but no lucky:

eth0_wol_options="g"
support_wol="yes"
wol_enabled_options="g"

coulb be usefull to have usb-snd-audio works to add USB audio card

DiskStation> insmod /lib/modules/snd-usb-audio.ko

insmod: can't insert '/lib/modules/snd-usb-audio.ko': unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter

DiskStation> ls /lib/modules/ | grep audio

Hi,

Mellanox ConnectX® InfiniBand (MHGH28-XTC) 10GB ethernet 30€ dual port card on ebay. Cheap 10 GB ethernet :smile:

"General page for supported drivers for the above card are 1.5.3-3.0.0"

http://www.mellanox.com/page/products_d ... sw_drivers (on the archive tab)

As the infiniband card with VPI can be IP over IB or some other protocols like FC over IB I hope the driver for network s correct below:

for ISO

http://www.mellanox.com/page/mlnx_ofed_ ... x86_64.iso

for tgz

http://www.mellanox.com/page/mlnx_ofed_ ... x86_64.tgz

Regards,

Gooba

Hi I only changed the Synoboot from v1.1 Beta 4 to Beta 5. I lost nothing :smile:

I had many issues with Beta 4 (USB ports were inoperant, OpenVPN was inoperant too, unable to reboot/shutdown,...) everything is working properly now !

The only persistent bug I have is that HDDs write cache is not active and seems not to be possible.

I have LSI 9211i-8 IT mode (HBA) with 5 x 3 TB and 1 x 250 GB 2,5" (for the system)

check dmesg output,

you will probably find write cache is enabled.... just you can't SET it thru the web interface is all

Bit like setting wake on lan etc.... where you can't do it in the web interface.... but if you change the synoinfo.conf file to enabled "g" then it works fine.

eg on mine it says

I've just checked mine also, but I'm on ESXi with RDM mapped HDD and pvscsi controller.

- inside web interface "Enable write cache" does nothing, option remains unchecked

- inside synoinfo.conf I have: diskcache="on"

- inside dmesg I have :
