jesss Posted December 14, 2016 Share #26 Posted December 14, 2016 I´ve a Nas with DMS 5.2. with 4 disks in SHR. After a accidental power faliure, at start it show NO Carpets, no any file. I can´t see any data of my 10 Tb !!!! In Storage Manager/Volume says Volume1 Damaged, Status: Damaged; Capacity: 0 Bytes; Used: 0 Bytes; Available: 0 Bytes But all the Disks (4x4 TB) are ok. I pass an E.S.M.A.R.T. test and says: Normal. Disk 1,2,3 and 4 Status: Normal I need help, please. Can I get my data back? How? I know nothing about Linux, etc... 0 fjf Posted January 9, 2017 Share #27 Posted January 9, 2017 I am glad. Make a backup first, and then play with xpenology. Always one backup at least, better two or three and one far from the place you hold the data. I am using the hyperbackup app from synology to amazon cloud drive, the cheapest unlimited cloud storage I know.
0 jesss Posted January 9, 2017 Author Share #28 Posted January 9, 2017 Do you think I could copy directly from the NAS as it is now, to Amazon cloud? How does it work Amazon cloud? Do exist a desk app for ubuntu or can I copy and drag throught a web brownser to the cloud, without size limit (my video files can have more than 30 Gb. size)? Is it fast enough to upload 10 TB ? 0 fjf Posted January 10, 2017 Share #29 Posted January 10, 2017 It is fast enough...in about 20 days fro 10TB . I am using the hyperbackup app in synology because the amazon app I tried is really bad. Primitive. If you want a backup software for mac or windows that works well with amazon cloud, try https://www.arqbackup.com/ . Works really well. Don't know nothing about Ubuntu.
