It seems there is no mac1 declared.

Look the yellow message.

You may need to check this value when you build ARPL

I can't confirm what happen if you don't set a mac address manually, I always add it to be sure it is OK.

The yellow error is gone, i specified a mac address manually.
This is what i get now.
Still not booting....

For info you won't have anything else on the screen, you have to look from another computer on the IP written on this screen :

I know how the procedure works. I had it running yesterday on an hp 6300 with no problems.

These screen look fine, without more logs w won't be able to help you.

Is there a serial port on the computer?

I suggest you wait 10 minutes at least to check if it is not a long boot issue.

Edit : you may want to enable direct boot to true, just as a test

I made up a mac address myself, he didn't like that.. So I copied the mac address from the bios and now I have no more errors apart from the whole "early console in decompress_kernel" story I never had this story on that other PC (hp 6300).

you think about slow boot? it's been running for a few minutes now I'll wait a bit then.

This screen is showing right now.

There is a serial port connector on the mainboard yes.
I changed directboot to true

Yeah is has something to do with this line...(first picture)(on the z400 workstation)

I've tried everything and it's never going to work. Ordered 2 8tb disks

(That way I have more space but with a smaller amount of disks.) and I installed everything on an hp 6300 where the "efi" error does not appear. within 5 minutes everything worked.
The second picture is from the hp6300 and it looks as it should be (without the "early console in decompress kernel" error.
