turboborg Posted December 8, 2016 Share #1 Posted December 8, 2016 Hi guys, This is my first post on here so sorry if i am breaking the rules and if the topic has already been answered. I have done much reading and getting fed up with trying to get quick connect to work. I have modified the syslinux.cfg with new SN and MAC from the excel generator. LABEL xpenology MENU LABEL XPEnology DSM 5.2-5967 KERNEL /zImage APPEND root=/dev/md0 ihd_num=0 netif_num=4 syno_hw_version=DS3615xs sn=C8LWN07114 mac1=0011323D91BD vid=0x0EA0 pid=0x2168 loglevel=0 vga=0x305 LABEL debug MENU LABEL XPEnology DSM 5.2-5967 Debug KERNEL /zImage APPEND root=/dev/md0 ihd_num=0 netif_num=4 syno_hw_version=DS3615xs sn=C8LWN07114 mac1=0011323D91BD vid=0x0EA0 pid=0x2168 loglevel=0 vga=0x305 debug=1 LABEL install MENU LABEL XPEnology DSM 5.2-5967 Install/Upgrade KERNEL /zImage APPEND root=/dev/md0 ihd_num=0 netif_num=4 syno_hw_version=DS3615xs sn=C8LWN07114 mac1=0011323D91BD vid=0x0EA0 pid=0x2168 loglevel=0 vga=0x305 upgrade=5.2-5967 I keep getting errors saying "Network error occured. Please check your DNS and network settings". I changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8. then i get "The operation failed. Please log in to DSM again and retry" I have also tried turning off IPv6 with the same results. Very frustrating.. if anyone can shed some light or can help i am happy to share more info on what ever you need. Thank you in advance
Polanskiman Posted December 8, 2016 Share #2 Posted December 8, 2016 Use a DDNS and you wont bring a bad reputation onto Xpenology. Using QuickConnect is a violation of Synology's services. QC is aimed solely to Synology's customers.
