PCi SATA - add to exisiting diskgroup or create a new?

Hi,

 

I'm adding a JMicron JMB585 pci 3.0 x4 PCI SATA board - are there any risks of adding the drives to the existing diskgroup or is it better to create a new group with only the drives from the PCI? 

By adding to the existing group I can avoid having to use another disk as backup in raid, so just wanted to check.

The DSM installation success story for the chipset you inquired seems to be above.

 

And It may or may not be included in an existing RAID group. It's your choice.
