unrealSpeedy2 Posted July 15, 2022 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2022 Hey guys, I am running DSM 7.0.1-42218 on an ESXI-Host with Tinycore 0.46. Dumb Question, but how can I upgrade to 7.1.? Can I run the GUI-Process and then do: ./rploader.sh update sudo ./rploader.sh postupdate broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 exitcheck.sh reboot Or do I have to create a fresh install? I want my MAC and Serial to persist. Thank you very much!
Orphée Posted July 15, 2022 Share #2 Posted July 15, 2022 I don't think so, the post-update is only for small update, isn't it ? On my side, 0.4.5 OS was to old (library issue) after I updated rploader.sh I had to download latest 0.8 vmdk and create a new ESXI disk (with V2V concerter) I backuped user_config.json from old TRCP img/disk Unmounted the SATA0 (TRCP) And added new uploaded disk and set it to SATA0 Booted it and restored my user_config.json and did the usual build ./rploader update ./rploader build broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 (remember to add VMXNET3 ext before in case you need it and mpt3sas etc... as usual depending on your needs) Then after reboot, you will install new PAT and once in 7.1.0-42661 update 1, you will be able to apply update 3 from GUI and at reboot launch TRCP and ./rploader.sh postupdate broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661
