lev Posted July 13, 2022 Share #1 Posted July 13, 2022 Folks, Can you please tell me is it worth upgrading from oldie DSM 5.0-4528 Update 1 to latest version or it's better to install a fresh one? If it can be upgraded, can you guys point me to step by step instructions (if any)? Thanks
apriliars3 Posted July 13, 2022 Share #2 Posted July 13, 2022 Install over one disk without data and test. 1. Download this image and burn a pendrive. Release v0.2-alpha3 · fbelavenuto/arpl (github.com) 2. Boot and select model, serial, detect hardware, build and boot. 3. Wait and find your NAS for configuring. lev Posted July 13, 2022 Author Share #3 Posted July 13, 2022 thanks I have data disks configured as a default SHR. Can they be just mounted again with this new SDM version? Also, which version of SDM should I install and from where?
rojoone2 Posted July 14, 2022 Share #4 Posted July 14, 2022 Please post your hardware specs. It would be easier to point you in the right direction.

rojoone2 Posted July 14, 2022 Share #6 Posted July 14, 2022 I would recommend you try DS3622xs+. it works on most hardware. I would also recommend you use a spare disk and USB to test so your data will be safe. Have a look at this tutorial to understand the process: Read through the tutorial again! Try with these commands after you create a new USB and log into TinyCore: ./rploader.sh update ./rploader.sh fullupgrade ./rploader.sh serialgen DS3622xs+ ./rploader.sh identifyusb ./rploader.sh satamap ./rploader.sh ext broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 add https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/rp-ext/master/tg3/rpext-index.json ./rploader.sh ext broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/rp-ext/master/mpt3sas/rpext-index.json ./rploader.sh build broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 manual exitcheck.sh reboot
