How to let DS918+ normally gets SMART info of the disks on LSI 2308 Array Card？

I'm using the IBM M5110. The IT mode firmware has been flashed so actually it is a HBA card now. And I plug several SAS HDDs in it.

 

Now with the help of pocopico-mpt3sas driver, DS918-7.0.1-42218 can be installed normally.

But I can't create a storage pool because the DSM cannot get the SMART info.

And when I use the "smartctl" command in SSH Terminal, all the SMART info can be got and shown normally.

So I think the problem is on Synology management package (like Storage Manager). How can I deal with it?

Upgrade to 7.1 or add support_disk_compatibility: no under synoinfo in user_config.json

OK.Now it's running DSM 7.1-42661 Update 2, and I add this tag in both synoinfo.conf and the boot img.

But this problem still exists.

Someone have tested that DS918+ works well with LSI SAS 3xxx card. All SMART info can be got.

But DSM still can't get SMART info when using LSI SAS 2xxx card. (Maybe? For SAS2308 it's true.)

I just test these on VM based on ESXi. RDM doesn't offer any help.

This surprises me greatly. How did you connect the RDM devices to the VM?  Did you use the VMware virtual SATA controller?

I tried virtual SCSI controller and virtual SATA controller. This problem still exists.

By the way, The reason why I insist on ds918p is that I need integrated graphics working for video decoding. So Do other models like ds3615xs have some patches to let integrated graphics be available for video station or third party software(jellfin, emby and so on).
