along with the new platforms: epyc7002 (no hardware announced so far?) synology seems to introduce kernel 5.10 beside the epyc there is als a arm based unit with kernel 5.10 so maybe we will see more of that when DSM 7.2 comes along that would be good news for i915 driver and that way the intel 2.5G nic (igc.ko) should be usable for DSM systems       https://archive.synology.com/download/ToolChain/toolchain/7.1-42661
