Thank you very much for your hard work. Best tool ever.

@Kyar

i have added 4 virtual SCSI Drives in Proxmox and startet the VM and all are working, Volume create...

What SCSI Controller do you use or do you use Passthrough Drives?

Thanks for your reply.

Sorry I use DS3622. I test it with 918 now.

In my config I use i440fx, rest same.

@Kyar

if you don't need more than 6 virtual Drives, you can use SATA instead SCSI and if440fx instead q35, so it works on my test setup with 6 Drives.

I have listen somewhere that SCSCI and q35 are more powerfull on emulation. Do you thinks that I can lose performance with sata and if440fx ?

q35 is only need if you passthrough pci devices.

I don't think there is so much different between sata and scsi on virtual Drives.

It works with q35 too, my mistake was that i have limited the disks to 6 drives in arpl. I have change it to 12 and now q35 with 6 sata drives works too.

I think you should test it.

Ok, I have changed my HDD to SATA

They use ports 7 8 9, how can I change to 1 2 3 ?

Hi,

this is a great tool, I used this on my proxmox vm to build a ds3617xs 7.1-42661, everything seems working except I do not see my virtio nic, No problem with r8139 nic. I am using arpl-0.4-alpha11.img, and I thought I had virto 9 drive installed, but does not work. I tried to upload a .json driver (worked for me before), anybody help me out on this?

much appreciated.

ting

actually, I resolved it. It is my r8139 nic does not show up, after I change it to e1000, then it comes back. Thanks, this tool works great for me.

Your Synology User does not have write permission on that folder.

You need to "cd" to a folder with permission (e.g. /volume1/homes/...) or use the sudo for the wget command too.

sudo wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/fbelavenuto/arpl/main/files/board/arpl/overlayfs/usr/sbin/arpl-reboot.sh
sudo arpl-reboot.sh config
