badbad2000 Posted October 20, 2016 Share #1 Posted October 20, 2016 Hi, I am new to Xpenology but I would like to start building a NAS using it. I have tested using my PC with Asus MAXIMUS V GENE and really like it. Now I would like build a dedicated one. here is my wish list Silverstone DS380 Intel i7-6700K Corsair 2400Mhz 16GB x 2 Corsair H80i v2 HGST NAS 6TB x 3, WD Green 2TB x 3 Future may put 2 more SSD for VM purpose. Option Gigabyte GA-H170N-WIFI (6 SATA) - can get locally in my place, cheaper USD70 - Intel I219V chip and the other one controlled by an Intel I211AT chip. ASRock Rack C236 WSI (8SATA) - need order oversea - Intel® i210+Intel® i219 I already bought the DS380 but I am thinking of UNAS NSC-800 because of the smaller in size but I not sure if it is ok to put a i7 CPU inside such a small case. Hope you guys can give your opinion about this build.
