Next: going to try some 4th gen and 6th gen desktop CPUs and see if AI works

kind of a limbo contest?

your E3-1225 v3 is 4th gen aka haswell, so you can skip other 4th gen cpu's

there are gpu gen's too (kind of), we usually reference cpu gen's here but when it comes to the AI stuff it might be interesting to see what cpu has what gpu gen (dva1622 is gemini lake aka gpu gen 9.5)

Intel GPU Gen's
Gen 1     810, 815
Gen 2     i830M, 845G, 855GM, 865G
Gen 3     915G/GM, 945G/GM, G/Q33, Q35, Atom D4xx/D5xx/N4xx/N5xx
Gen 4     965G/GM/Q, G35, G41, G/Q43, G/GM/Q45
Gen 5     Nehalem (Ironlake)
Gen 6     Sandy Bridge
Gen 7     Ivy Bridge, Valley View, Bay Trail
Gen 7.5 Haswell
Gen 8     Broadwell, Cherryview
Gen 9     Skylake, Broxton, Apollo Lake
Gen 9.5 Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake, Gemini Lake
Gen 10  Cannon Lake
Gen 11  Elkhart Lake, Ice Lake
Gen 12  Tiger Lake

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_HD_and_Iris_Graphics#Generation_nine_based

and even QSV has version numbers

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Quick_Sync_Video

(in that article is a nice table about features)

if it's about HEVC de-/encoding then it might start with skylake

Hi, I have a Nuc 11 with i7-1185G7 processor. I managed to get a VM running on proxmox with DVA1622, but AI doesn't work.

you would need to pass through the gpu to into the vm but as its a Xe GPU you will not have success as we don't have a driver for these, 10th gen with its "older" UHD 6xx gpu is max. when it comes to intel quick sync video (AI) support

later on with kernel 5.x based units i'd expect support for newer gpu's (but its not proven that a Xe gpu can handle all the things needed for the AI stuff in the way a UHD units do, if you want that working in 2023 i'd say use something with a 10th gen cpu and use what is now available (7.2 is not the new "all kernel 5.x" its more or less the same as 7.1 when it comes to kernel, synology might bring new units with 5.x kernel like SA6400 but there is to much uncertain to make predictions, synology is in control)

I am having problems to output via HDMI, the screen is going blank, the processor I use is an i3 6100, the controllers H110/H170 Express Chipset. any suggestions

Very strange I have a laptop with same cpu when I used older version of loader 0.9.0 with dsm 7.0 it was displaying dsm on screen

Edit: it was TCRP by Pocopico

Hardware: Asrock Deskmini 110, Pentium G4560, 8Gb RAM, 120GB 2.5" HDD

Installation: Barebone

Successfully install DVA1622 DSM 7.1.1-42962 with ARPL v1.1-beta2a but there is no license in Surveillance station 😑

Anyone encounter the same issue?

Previously i tested on ESXi (E3-1245v2) with DVA1622 using ARPL v1-beta2 no such issue. Want to explore the face detection but now stuck

If you don't have any licence, you did not chose the right serial generation.

The serial trigram for DVA1622 is : UBR

But it works with the one from DVA3221 too : SJR

You have to use the generate serial menu from ARPL after choosing the Syno model.

With DVA loaders you should have 8 licences.

the commans that i used

./rploader.sh update

I didnt do Update and Fullupgrade commands. Basically commands that I have used are:

./rploader.sh identifyusb

./rploader.sh serialgen DVA1622

./rploader.sh build dva1622-7.1.0-42661

sudo reboot

P.S. Also since you have Desktop version of same cpu, make sure that in bios you have enabled igpu as primary video adapter and cable hooked to it.

Just start again "configure loader"

generate the serial

build the loader

boot the loader

It won't redo everything, it will be fast as it will just update the serial.

I tried a few times, it does change its serial number, but it always come with SJR and i can't get any license.

Do you know any serial gen that can do DVA1622 or UBR serial?

I don't understand how you "can't get any license".

If you build DVA1622 loader with serial generated for it (works with SJR). You have 8 licences included in Surveillance Station.

Its not ARPL topic its Jun mode discussion here, its totally different loader and its not automated. You should go to ARPL topic and ask this question over there, maybe it has to do with a loader version. Also what you can try is regenerate SN multiple times maybe it will help.

Just installed a new fresh DVA1622 with ARPL on a new VM  (proxmox) with generated serial from loader

image.thumb.png.1048d9814117f36535b660713a1d77a7.png

Are you running baremetal or VM ? if VM, did you give the minimum required specs ?

Like the original one : 1cpu 4 cores ? 4GB Ram ?

new 9.1.0-10660 introduces a check, i uninstalled it and installed https://global.synologydownload.com/download/Package/spk/SurveillanceStation/9.0.2-10061/SurveillanceStation-x86_64-9.0.2-10061_openvino.spk again and the 8 cam default license is back

will be interesting to see if the normal (non dva/openvino) 9.1 also breaks the default license on all the other systems

will be interesting to see if the normal (non dva/openvino) 9.1 also breaks the default license on all the other systems

Moreover, it stops Push notifications even on official license after some time and some cameras are being disconnected constantly, it doesn't bring any new major features but breaks SS, so its better to stick with older versions.

Edit: and stop automatic updates))
