I'm setting up a 24 bay system, so far all good with Synoinfo.conf set for 24 drives, all working ok with 20 drives running at the moment. However the XPE USB boot drive is showing up as an HDD at position 21 (3 other slots empty as no drives connected yet). I've looked at the trick to mask the USB through the vid/pid settings but don't think that would work here as the boot disk isn't showing as a removable device. Any ideas on how I can stop this? I suspect its something to do with the usb/sata controller enumeration and mounting of disks, but have no clue where to start to look TIA Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
sbv3000 Posted October 4, 2016 Author Share #2 Posted October 4, 2016 Ok so should have read more and played before I posted, but spotted in the 'Hide USB' thread that the boot disk is enumerated as /dev/sdu and as 'u' is letter 21 it might be the reason.
