error403 Posted September 28, 2016 Share #1 Posted September 28, 2016 Hi, I'd like to know if it's possible to index a network folder so it can be used with DS audio and DS video in DSM 5. I read several advices, but they seem to only work in older versions of DSM. Any ideas?
sbv3000 Posted September 30, 2016 Share #2 Posted September 30, 2016 if you open Control Panel and Media Indexing (the purple 'film reel' icon) then choose 'Indexed Folder' from the top tabs - you can add any shared folders to be indexed.
tigs Posted October 1, 2016 Share #3 Posted October 1, 2016 Hi, I'd like to know if it's possible to index a network folder so it can be used with DS audio and DS video in DSM 5. I read several advices, but they seem to only work in older versions of DSM. Any ideas? I was able to play musics and video from a USB drive under DSM 5.2 with a symbolic link I am trying to figure out whether I can do the same with DSM 6. error403 Posted October 6, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted October 6, 2016 Thank you, but doesn't work for SMB mounts. They don't show up. If I mount them via ssh, it doesn't work either. USB should work but is not useful for me.
