maxime Posted September 14, 2016 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) Hi to everyone. I just realized that XPEnology does not support Smart monitoring on disks installed on my mainboard (ASRock H81M-HDS). The Health status is always showned "GOOD" because the system can not read smart parameters from disks. Is there any way to solve this issue? Or can I "manually" monitor the smart status using the console? Thanks in advice! Edited September 17, 2016 by Guest
martysport Posted September 14, 2016 Share #2 Posted September 14, 2016 SMART works fine here (H81M mainboard too) Can you get a screenshot?
maxime Posted September 15, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted September 15, 2016 SMART works fine here (H81M mainboard too)Can you get a screenshot? Thank you for your support Martysport! The problem is that xpenology these days report many File System errors; I didn't understand what appened because the DSM homepage showed me always a Good system state. Looking carefully, I realized that system state is always indicated as GOOD because the Hard Disks S.M.A.R.T. info were not recognized! maxime Posted September 17, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted September 17, 2016 Often, the simply way is the right way... I'm feeling so stupid! I solved the "problem" simply enabling SMART support on Mainboard Bios... Sorry!
