I managed to install it in a VM (VMWare) on my Debian home server (headless). I'd like to use the Video Station app. It works fine, actually, but whenever it has to transcode the framerate goes down. I found out Video Station relies on several profiles for ffmpeg, depending on the Disk Station model. Since my very own hardware is much less powerful (but fast enough to transcode SD) than the emulated model, VS uses a profile my hardware can't handle.
