davurleon Posted July 26, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 26, 2016 Hi all! I have the above mentioned server lying around and wanted me some sweet Xpenology on it. To this I wrote in the drivers request and I was happy when I found that the new version just out should support my HP Smart Array P400. However, when I try to install Xpenology it merely says that there are no HDD on the server, I tried both not setting any HDD up in the software for the card, and setting all HDD up as single drives, but to no avail. Does anyone know if I can somehow persuade this HP P400 to let me see the drives, or am I just in no luck with this controller? Yours Sincerely

sbv3000 Posted July 30, 2016 Share #3 Posted July 30, 2016 have you tried to change the bios of the raid controller to be non-raid/jbod etc? are your drives 'seen' by the controller bios at boot?
Trantor Posted July 30, 2016 Share #4 Posted July 30, 2016 Sorry but like I said here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1361&start=890#p68710 cciss driver do not generate standard /dev/sdX nodes. So unfortunately I don't think that DSM will detect disk with your controller.
