I changed the the Sata port Map to 6 ("SataPortMap": "1",) as this was what in the old config files, which was working fine with 4 drives before.

I messed up that USB settings while running the update. :(

Is it possible to blank the two values like below and rebuild the TCRP FRIEND loader?

If it is left blank, the loader automatically maps the SATA port.

     "SataPortMap": "",
     "DiskIdxMap": ""

By the way, your usb_line / sata_line content is a bit strange.
Did you manually delete sataportmap/DiskIdxMap by directly changing user_config.json?

I have a question, I wanted to upload tcrp to the internal emmc using command

dd if=tinycore-redpill-uefi.v0.9.2.9.img of=/dev/mmcblk0 bs=1M

and unfortunately it doesn't work for me booted from tcrp disk but can't build the loader image

Thanks alot for your help, we are getting there :)
I rebuilt the loader and now I can see the storage pool atleast which has the info of my two drives but drives are still missing.
Previously I couldn't see the storage pool or any info of the drives

Regarding StatportMap, yes modified it manually in user_config.json when DSM didn't see two of drives after first built.

ok I am not sure how but I tried ARPL and all the drive showed up with all the data, the only issue was at first booth I had to reinstall DSM which formatted the system drive. which means I lost all the installed applications.

ARPL is based on jun's mod.
TCRP is based on jot's mod.
The difference between the two is explained so much that you can find it just by searching with the keyword jot.

If a switch occurs between these two modes, the system partition is sometimes initialized.
So, be careful when you come across DSM's reinstallation message.
Usually, it enters DSM booting without any message or asks for migration if migration is required.
If you get a message other than that, don't proceed.
The system partition is initialized and all packages are initialized as well.

Yes I have read about the difference multiple times in your posts too, :)

What I meant to say was I have was on TCRP originally and never had any issue, I didn't change any thing in my PC no new Hdd added but this time TCRP couldn't pickup all the drives which ARPL did in the first boot.

I am still not sure if I should't stick to ARPL, I have seen slow booth complains with ARPL but to me both modes boots almost the same.

I am happy at least my data is still there , I am going back to TCRP again to see if I can get all my drives working again there.

Since you want to use TCRP again, you want to monitor your Sata Port or Sata controller status.

Can you tell me the result with the below command in TCRP Linux prompt?

lspci -tvnnq

Have you tried using m shell with my recently developed integrated driver pack applied? Only TCRP friends are supported.

no!

but i figured out that the MAC was wrong.. is now set correctly
but i loos PING after TCP Friend is booting the Xpenology.

In case of bare metal, serial cable must be used for accurate error analysis.  I'm trying to develop a way to collect junior logs on bare metal even if nic doesn't respond.  If there is no IP response as above, does the LED of the nic port blink?

Hi, i dont think that mmc can be shimmed by redpill anyway.

I changed rploader.sh a bit and it seems to work, but now I have a problem with friend tcrp.

is in loop. it finds a new version and reboots all the time. As if he didn't know where to save the update. It does not know the disk path.

Windows runs normally on this drive and the loader should.

Introducing M Shell for TCRP FRIEND with ARPL style menu applied.

Below is a guide for using M Shell for TCRP FRIEND menu.

The VID/PID of the USB stick is automatically processed during the loader building process.

User Guide Github Link

Installation image github link

This is a testing version. Do not use unless you are certain you have no data to lose.

Please note that minimum recommended memory size for configuring the loader is 2GB

# Instructions

A typical build process starts with:

1. Burn images

    A. To burn physical gunzip and img files to a USB stick

    B. For virtual gunzip use the provided vmdk file

2. Boot Tinycore

3. Loader Building

        A. Choose one of the Synology models.

        B. Create a virtual serial number or enter a prepared serial number.

        C. Select the real mac address of the nic or create a virtual mac address or input the prepared mac address.
(If there are 2 nics, you can enter up to the 2nd mac address)

        D. Build the loader.

6. Reboot

Can someone help? When trying pocopio boot loader (0.9.8/latest) DS918+ installation gets stuck at 57% and fails due to corrupt .PAT file installation.

then I used Peter Suh with friends boot loader and I can install the .PAT file and installation  completes successfully but after reboot the device again asks for .PAT file to be installed again. Tried both DSM918+ and 920+. Same result. 3622xs gets stuck and fails with corrupt PAT file error.  Anyone else’s seeing this issue?

configuration

Dell T20

G3220 CPU

4 GB RAM

Baremetal install.

Did you enable hotplug of sata disks on bios settings?
Is it a new installation or an upgrade?
