Thanks @pocopico I added sudo and it appears to complete as shown but the build still powers down on access

Done, closing
tc@box:~$ ./rploader.sh mountdsmroot now
Succesfully mounted under /mnt/dsmroot
Checking if patch version exists
Patch directory exists
DSM Root holds a patch version 7.1-42621-0
tc@box:~$ sudo sed -i 's/^acpi-cpufreq/# acpi-cpufreq/g' /mnt/dsmroot/usr/lib/mo
dules-load.d/70-cpufreq-kernel.conf && cat /mnt/dsmroot/usr/lib/modules-load.d/7

# acpi-cpufreq
cpufreq_performance
cpufreq_powersave
tc@box:~$

If you have ssh enabled you can ssh and edit the file. If you don’t you can create the loader again and add Jumkeys redpill-misc extension.

I tried the extension but Jumkey does not have a DVA3221 build and I got this message:

 ./rploader ext denverton-7.0.1-42218 add https://github.com/jumkey/red
pill-load/raw/develop/redpill-misc/rpext-index.json
-sh: ./rploader: not found

Dogodefi did the DVA build but could not find a similar extension that repository.

I started from scratch since I didn't enable SSH the first time and have successfully commented out the cpufreq.

Really big thanks for all work on this project and the guidance to get me through this upgrade!  (I sure have learned a lot in the last few weeks!)

Have a look here

I guess it can be applied from 7.01 to 7.1.0-42661 directly ?

May I ask why :

./rploader.sh download denverton-7.0.1-42218
./rploader.sh postupdate denverton-7.0.1-42218

and not

./rploader.sh download denverton-7.1.0-42661
./rploader.sh postupdate denverton-7.1.0-42661

?

Thank you

The version will not be used in postupdate process. It reads these values from the DSM root partition

Is it possible to port dev/dri to this build? would like to be able to use quicksync for plex.

Try this and let us know. I have managed to compile the modules.

As with DS3622, by default, DVA3221 doesnt offer QS HW transcoding. But i have managed to compile the modules by amending some parameters in the .config file.

I don't see the patch for latest 42661 :

https://github.com/dogodefi/redpill-load/tree/develop/config/DVA3221

So I will probably wait a bit.

Edit : Or not needed with this update process ?

./rploader fullupgrade now

(command doesn't work)

Can't build because fullupgrade doesn't work.  I don't know why.

update the rploader.sh first by ./rploader.sh update now, then do the fullupgrade. Don't forget to type the file extenstion (i.e. ".sh")

Written in English.

Are you sure the command is "./rploader.sh fullupgrade now"? I don't speak korean so from google translation you typed "./rploader.sh in-place upgrade now (not working)" which is wrong command. You can see the available commands and platforms by typing "./rploader.sh" without any parameter.

I sucessfully got a DVA3221 loader working, tested a few cameras all is good even with no presence of a nvidia card installed. I setup plex, i do have plexpass, but when i force a video in transcoding, im not getting hw and cpu usage is through the roof of course. Does this model not support it?

Hi, sorry to bother you, could you please send me that loader you've got so I can try it on my nas? I have created several loaders trying several drivers and I can't get a loader that assigns me an IP on my router. If you are on Telegram I am @SirNoish. Thank you.

I had the same problem too initially. But I managed to get away with it by make sure it won't connect to the Internet when it initialize the setup.

Since this is a DVA3221 as stated as SynologyNVR, the initial setup would automatically create a SHR volume for you, and install the Surveillance Station immediately. And right at that step it checks your serial online if it's valid, if not like us it would give you a default 2 cam license only. By removing the ability to access the Internet for the initial setup, it will never checks again and you could download the Surveillance Station from Package Center and install upon.

Hello, I finally have the dva3221 working with the SurveillanceStation beta but I only get 2 licenses, shouldn't I get 8? or what does the number of licenses depend on? Thank you
