AldersP 0
I am trying to install pihole using Portainer and a macvlan so it can have it's own IP address. I am using these instructions found https://servicemax.com.au/tips/pi-hole-in-docker-on-synology-the-best-way/ This works fine on a genuine Synology NAS (even tried using DSM in VMM and all is well) but I cannot access pihole when using the redpill version. I have redpill running in ESXi and everything creates and runs correctly. I can see the new IP address in my unifi devices list but when I try accessing it I just get a time out. I am all out of ideas... can anyone help? Thanks in advance!
AldersP 0
Figured it out… I had to set Promiscuous mode and Forged transmits to 'Accept' under the ESXi vSwitch security options. Works like a charm! Thanks
